Mr. Mark Miller directs the FHS Clarinet Choir. He is the clarinet teacher in our adjunct private music faculty (see his web site on the Adjunct Faculty page) as well as a distinguished performer, conductor and composer. He is currently the assistant conductor of the Greater Boston Youth Symphony. The FHS Wind Ensemble will be premiering an original composition of Mr. Millers in May. This will be the forth commissioned work that Mr. Miller has composed for the FMA.

The Clarinet Choir is made up of clarinetist from the FHS Concert Band. The group rehearses Tuesday evenings from 7:30 - 8:30 pm. The group performs a diverse musical curriculum representing some of the world's greatest composers. Mr. Miller has written numerous special arrangements for this ensemble over the years. The Clarinet Choir performs at recitals, special community events, and at the annual Chamber Concert in May. The clarinet choir is an ensemble where many clarinetists learn to double on Eb soprano, Eb Alto, Bb Bass, and Bb Contrabass clarinets. The Clarinet Choir experience is very valuable in preparing students for their larger band ensemble responsibilities.
