Jennifer Greenleaf
Music Instructor at FHS and Ahern Middle School
Ms. Jennifer Greenleaf is the director of the fifth grade band, sixth grade orchestra, and jazz band at the Ahern Middle School, as well as the Foxboro High School Assistant Band director. Ms. Greenleaf was formerly the Music Director for the middle schools of Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School District and K-5 Music Director of the Carlton M. Vivieros Elementary School in Fall River, MA.
Jennifer graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Ithaca College. During her time there, Ms. Greenleaf was a member of the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra, and also performed in many chamber ensembles around the city. She is still an active clarinet player performing with the Marion Town Band, the Foxboro Community Band, the Tri-county Symphonic Band and the Tri-county Clarinet Quintet. She also teaches private clarinet lessons.
Ms Greenleaf has been highly recognized for her conducting by Steven Peterson, former Wind Ensemble director of Ithaca College, and has participated in multiple conducting workshops with highly esteemed conductors like Bill Rowell, former conductor of the UMass Amherst Wind Ensemble, and Colonel Arnald Gabriel, former commander/conductor of the internationally renowned U.S. Air Force Band, Symphony Orchestra, and Singing Sergeants. Jennifer conducted the Foxboro High School Concert Band in Symphony Hall in Boston in spring of 2015. Ms. Greenleaf is also the manager for the Tri-county Symphonic Band’s annual ‘Conductor’s Holiday,’ where members work to increase conducting technique and musicality.
Being a graduate of Foxboro Public Schools, Jenny is excited to be giving back her community, and is honored to be working with such a great music faculty.
