Donny Albro

Donny Albro teaches grades 5-12 instrumental music. and conducts the 8th grade band and FHS Symphonic Winds. He is the assistant director of the FHS Symphony Orchestra. Donny also runs the Foxborough High School Percussion Ensemble.

Donny received his Bachelor's degree from the Eastman School of Music, and his Master's degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. While at the Eastman School of Music Donny toured Japan with the Eastman Wind Ensemble, and recorded the CD Eastman Wind Ensemble at 50 released on Warner Bros. Records.

He is also a composer and has written 3 pieces for percussion ensemble. Donny has presented clinics for the LSDO professional development days. He has been a private lesson teacher in the Boston area for 15 years. From 2002-2012 Donny ran the percussion department for the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra. For 15 years he has been making custom percussion equipment which is used by the Julliard School, Yale University, the Pittsburgh Symphony, the Boston Symphony, the Boston Philharmonic, and the Colorado Symphony.
